From 1972 to 1978, A staff member was Manager of EDP Audits at Southern California Edison. This position covered all aspects of EDP audit and security for a major public utility company. A staff member holds a Certificate in Information Systems Auditing (Certified Information Systems Auditor) from the EDP Auditors Foundation.
Booz, Allen & Hamilton
A member of G&E's staff developed the Security Requirements Reviews for the Secure Electronic Information Transfer (SEIT) Project. This International Electronic Funds Transfer System supported the Financial Systems Security Standards (i.e., ANSI X9.9, ANSI 9.17, ANSI X9.23, ANSI X9.24, ANSI X9.26, and ANSI X9.30) and the accepted Electronic Data Interchange Security Standards (ANSI X12.42). This Security Review addressed Symmetric Algorithm Cryptography, Asymmetric Algorithm (Public Key) Cryptography, Dynamic Password Algorithms, Unique Key per Transaction Algorithms (ANSI X9.24), Tamper Resistant Hardware Environments for Cryptographic Devices, Smart Cards, and Protection of Network Components. Professional Activities:
A member of G&E's staff chaired ACM's Special Interest Group on Security, Audit and Control (SIGSAC) from 1986 to 1991) and SIGSAC Vice-Chairman for the two preceding years. ACM SIGSAC is the world's largest organization for computer scientists and software engineers pursuing research and development in computer security. He also served as Corporate Representative on the ANSI X12.42 (EDI Security) subcommittee of the ANSI X12 (Electronic Data Interchange) committee - 1989-90.
